About
Supporting Public Sector AI
Social Finance, in partnership with iBlueprint.ai, launched the AI Learning and Innovation Hub in 2025 to help government agencies test, refine, and scale AI solutions. Agencies participate in cohorts of 4–6 organizations over a six-month period, collaborating and learning from one another along the way.
Our first cohort was focused on economic mobility and workforce development, exploring how AI can improve service delivery and accelerate innovation while also helping underserved communities access economic opportunities more efficiently.
In May 2026 we launched our second cohort with support from the GitLab Foundation, in collaboration with the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) and Nava PBC. This cohort will help six state agencies build and refine an open-source, AI-enabled tool that lets applicants quality-check their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Medicaid documents to reduce errors and deliver benefits more quickly for the people who need them.
Key areas of work include:
- Hands-on testing and sandboxing
- Ethical framework development
- AI literacy and capacity building
- Shared learning across agencies
We are actively identifying participants for future cohorts – contact us to learn more.
